Calibrate is available to actively employed Brookfield employees and their dependents for whom the following apply:

• At least 18 years of age 
• Have medical coverage through Brookfield (an Aetna PPO, an Aetna EPO, Aetna HDHP or HMSA plan)
• Not enrolled in Medicare
• BMI that’s ≥ 30
• Not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant in the next two years
• Do not have an active substance abuse problem, an active eating disorder (e.g., anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating), cancer, recent bariatric surgery (within the past 18 months), active gallbladder disease, a history of pancreatitis in the past six months, or a history of medullary thyroid cancer (MEN syndrome)
• Lives in the United States

If you have an Aetna EPO, Aetna PPO or an Aetna HDHP plan through Brookfield, you won't need to pay for Calibrate's program (valued at over $2000) or for the cost of your doctor-prescribed medication—even if you have a deductible. Standard copays may apply for laboratory services.

If you have a HMSA plan, your Calibrate program will be covered in full, but you will have a monthly copay of $30 for your doctor prescribed medication.

No, your employer has taken extra steps to ensure your deductible doesn’t have to be met for your medication to be covered. If you have an Aetna PPO, an Aetna EPO, or an Aetna HDHP plan through your employer, your medication will be fully covered. 

If you have a HMSA plan, your monthly copay for medication will be $30.

The medications Calibrate clinicians prescribe in our Metabolic Reset are called GLP-1s (glucagon-like peptide-1s). Calibrate clinicians prescribe a variety of GLP-1s, including semaglutide, liraglutide, tirzepatide, and dulaglutide. These GLP-1s are often referred to by their brand name, so you may have heard of these medications as Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Mounjaro®, or Zepbound®, to name a few.

All GLP-1s are clinically-tested, stimulant-free, and non-habit forming. GLP-1s address the underlying biology that is most important for weight loss, and help lower your set point, or the weight your body fights to stay at. GLP-1s are powerful, naturally-occurring hormones made by your gut that send signals to your brain to decrease your appetite, improve your metabolic system, and regulate your digestion so you can feel full longer and maximize nutrient absorption.

Yes, your employer-sponsored insurance plans cover GLP-1 medication.

If you have an Aetna PPO, an Aetna EPO or an Aetna HDHP plan, your GLP-1 medication will be fully covered. Importantly, you do not have to meet your deductible—if you have one—in order for your GLP-1 medication to be covered.

If you have a HMSA (Hawaii Self Funded Population) plan, your monthly medication copay will be $30.

The Calibrate program is designed to fit into your life, not the other way around. You won’t be asked to make drastic changes. Instead, you’ll have the support of a Medical Team and a Calibrate coach to make small changes to your habits that lead to big results: 15% weight loss on average.

Here’s a summary of what Calibrate requires of members in their program:

• Take medication as advised by the Calibrate Medical Team, and respond to Medical Check-ins via your Calibrate app every few months
• Attend 15-minute biweekly video coaching sessions
• Use the Calibrate app to track daily food, weight, and energy levels 
• Read quick and simple lessons, released every two weeks
