We’re a program that treats weight loss differently. No calorie counting, no meal kits or points systems. We exist to help our members achieve optimal metabolic health—weight loss is just one of many positive effects our members experience over the course of the program. Others include better sleep, lower stress levels, and more energy to enjoy your life at its fullest.
Throughout your Calibrate program, you’ll work with an experienced medical team and an accountability coach to monitor your progress in biweekly 1:1 virtual sessions. Plus, access safe and clinically tested GLP-1/combined GLP-1 medication to kickstart your metabolic wellness and weight loss journey. Calibrate clinicians prescribe FDA-approved medications including Mounjaro® (tirzepatide), Wegovy® (semaglutide), Ozempic® (semaglutide), and Saxenda® (liraglutide) among others.

How Calibrate stands out against Pennsylvania medical weight loss clinics
Calibrate’s Metabolic Reset is not a diet. Instead, Calibrate combines medication and accountability coaching to reset your metabolic health. Our approach is based on decades of clinical research in fields such as bariatric medicine and endocrinology. Research shows—time and time again—that traditional diets simply do not work.
Why is this? Most diet programs are fairly short-sighted, and they don't address a fundamental underlying determinant of weight and overall health: Your metabolic health.
Your metabolic health helps inform how your body functions and how it responds to food, sleep, and emotional health triggers that impact weight. When your metabolic health is off-balance, you’re left plateauing or yo-yo-ing as your body fights to stay at its set point—the weight that your body has naturally settled at.
That’s why at Calibrate, our program is designed for your biology, not your willpower. Calibrate is medical weight loss at its best: We design our curriculum to fit with your life, not the other way around. We work with your insurance provider to make sure you are able to afford your medication and we offer our services at a rate that is attainable for far more Americans than the average medical weight loss or bariatric clinic.
What is medical weight loss?
The field of medical weight loss is also sometimes referred to as bariatrics—however, most people associate the term “bariatrics” with bariatric surgery. Medical weight loss does not necessarily involve surgery. Rather, medical weight loss is weight loss overseen by a health care or medical professional, a.k.a. medically-supervised weight loss.
When done best, medical weight loss should involve a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of overweight or obesity that’s rooted in science, medicine, and medical research. Any Pennsylvania weight loss program led by a licensed physician who specializes in obesity or overweight is considered medical weight loss.
The guidance of a medical professional is what sets medical weight loss apart from other diets, wellness programs, or weight loss programs. However, it’s important to approach even physician-led programs thoughtfully. Not all medical weight loss programs are research-based, safe, effective, and sustainable. Some programs use medications that are not approved for long-term use, or rely solely upon supplements, appetite suppressants, meal replacements, or unproven dietary recommendations.
Calibrate is grounded in science for sustainable weight loss and metabolic health improvements; the program was designed by a world-class advisory board of leading experts and our members enjoy convenient virtual access to coaching, a medical team, and other resources.
Many medical weight loss programs incorporate a combination of lifestyle changes—such as food, exercise, and behavior—alongside prescription medication. At Calibrate, we ensure that each element of the habit change is research-based and sets our members up for ongoing success while improving their overall quality of life.
Calibrate’s Metabolic Reset: How it works
When you join Calibrate, you’ll start with a 30-minute virtual clinical visit where you’ll discuss your lab panels and health history in detail. After a comprehensive review, your clinician will make a recommendation for GLP-1 medication: A class of medication that’s recently been proven the safest and most effective for long-term weight loss and weight management.
GLP-1s prescribed by Calibrate include semaglutide and liraglutide, known under brand names like Wegovy® and Saxenda®, among others. These medications are FDA-approved and work by mimicking the natural GLP-1 hormone your body produces, which targets areas of the brain involved in regulating appetite, cravings, and food intake. It also has an important impact on the management of blood sugar levels.
Next, you’ll be matched with an accountability coach that will keep you accountable to the goals you set. They’ll act as your cheerleader and accountability partner, celebrating your successes and helping you keep your commitments. You’ll meet with a coach over 15-minute video sessions every other week.
Meanwhile, you’ll move through four levels of learning as you engage with our comprehensive curriculum in the Calibrate app. Online lessons will teach you how to make small tweaks to your food, exercise, sleep, and emotional health habits—the Four Pillars of Metabolic Health. You’ll gain confidence implementing these steps by setting goals with your coaching team and tracking your progress in the app.
Throughout your Calibrate program, your team of medical providers will make sure you’re seeing measurable improvements in your health. After your initial 30-minute appointment, you’ll have access to the medical team in the Medical Channel and scheduled medical check-ins through the Calibrate app. You’ll also get lab work done at the start and again at the end of your year to assess your progress on important health indicators like blood sugar and cholesterol levels.
